The Journey So Far

A picture tells a thousand words, a brushstroke carries unspoken stories in each mode of visual art.

Tumisang Khalipha is a South African contemporary visual artist and professional photographer. He was born in 1994 in Mahikeng, a small village in the North West province of South Africa.

After high school he studied printmaking classes at Edition Vary in Parkhurst, where he was trained by Linocuts specialist Jan Tshikhuthula and drypoint expert Lebohang Sithole. Under the mentorship of Sharon Sampson, co-founder of The South African Fine Art Print Fair (FAP). In 2017, he persuaded his
career at Artist proof Studios. He is currently signed with Stay Low.

Tumisang has exhibited his work at galleries and events including Artist Proof Studios, The Daville Gallery, Pipeline Art Gallery, IDC Gallery, Fine Art Prints (FAP), Gauteng Legislature, Oppi Art, Tropics Business Summit, Hallmark Hoteland 1000 Drawings. Stephan Welz & Co.

In 2020, Khalipha’s work was featured in Kimon Phitidis’ widely referenced book for teachers “Where Light Shines Through.” Most recently, he collaborated with South African musician and record label executive Priddy Ugly on the art direction for the
2021 album SOIL.

Currently collaborated with Sonwaro Coffee where both creative’s work exhibited in Milan, Italy at World Of Coffee.
